Attention! in Speaking II

Is English your first language? No? Then you must have made some mistake. The mistake that makes you think, "did I just said that?". But do not worry, it's quite common, especially if you're still a rookie. For me, English is like a third language, so, of course I've made lots of mistake. So what I'm going to tell you now is common mistakes in English.
When speaking, usually you will say these mistake, especially when you're not careful or familiar with English language.

1. its vs. it’s

its = a possessive pronoun. Examples would be: The puppy played with its toy. The computer and its power supply are for sale. Do you know whether my car needs its own inspection?
it’s = contraction of it is. Examples would be: It’s much too hot in July. I think it’s going to rain. I doubt it’s ever going to be the same.
Or simply say it is to avoid confusion.

2. there vs. their vs. they’re

there =an adverb, in or at that placeThere is only one lemon left. There should be an easier way to do this. I hope you don’t go there.their=a possessive pronounTheir mansion is beautiful. Their olive trees make me dream of Italy. Their baby cries a lot.
they’re=contraction of they are. They’re simply stunning. They’re going to perform for us. Don’t act as if they’re here already!
Easy reminder: You can replace they’re with they are when speaking to avoid this mistake.
3. Talking too long
There are times when you want to impress your listener and you just keep on talking, however, when you do this, the risk to make a false sentence is very big! unless, you're already that good with English language or very familiar with English language That is why, keeping it short and simple sometimes become the best way to impress.
4. Talking about something you don't know
When you're having a conversation, it's best to evade something you don't know about. If you don't know, don't say anything about it. Because if you do, it is most likely you'll end up with a wrong sentence, which is not a good thing.
5. Feeling intimidated
When talking with a foreign language, we sometimes wonder about our fluency, our mistakes, that could lead to nervous, which could ruin everything. Before this happen, try to talk to the mirror, or your doll.
6. Speaking without knowing how to pronounce it
It is always a good idea to start writing sentences before you learn how to pronounce English sound. You should be capable of pronouncing all the English vowels and consonants clearly, before you start speaking. If you do not, you will become habituated of speaking wrong.

Make yourself start reading English newspapers and books, or listening to English songs and movies. This way, you can learn some new words and become able to build your own sentences. Give some activity to your brain by building more and more sentences so that you can express in English easily.
