Shadowing

Hello again, ready to learn how to speak fluently? The method's called 'Shadowing' or language parroting. You know that parrot can copy what we said, right? So, Let's find out more about it.
What does English sounds like when you didn't know it? Strange? Doesn't make sense? Kind of alien? Well, I do too, but I just copy what they said anyway, having not a single clue what they are talking about. My pronunciation is a real mess, too. But, with each time, by shadowing what they're talking about, I finally able to at least, speak it. So, curious how to do it?

1. Pick an audio/video you like, if you can, find a transcript or subtitle of it. A conversation could be good. The internet is a good place to do it.

2. listen to it, at least once. If you're not familiar with it, then listen to it more.

3. When you're ready, do the shadowing! copy their speech, copy the speech of the narrator/actor. Imitate every single thing the speaker said: pronunciation, pauses, pitch, anything. It doesn't have to be perfect at first, because it takes time to let your tongue to be familiar with it.

Now you know. Now, why don't you start to do it? The faster the better, right?
